Our Photo Archives

The MonDak Heritage Center has hundreds of historical photos from the MonDak area, which encompasses approximately seven counties in Eastern Montana and Western North Dakota. We are currently in the midst of cataloguing these items, but will to the extent possible, try to share them with anyone interested. We hope to ultimately include many of the pictures on this web site.

In many instances, these photos depict people or events that are unknown to museum staff. If you are a long time community resident or have knowledge of local history, would you consider helping us to identify the individuals or events in these photos?

The staff is also considering putting several of the photos up on this website to make it easier for anyone at anytime to help with the identification project.

Local historian Mary Mercer is providing invaluable assistance in cataloguing the MonDak's extensive photo collection.
