Every February the MonDak Heritage Center reopens its galleries after a January cleaning to one of its most popular exhibits – the Annual Quilt Show! After more than a quarter of a Century, it's still going strong, with as many as 100 quilts filling the gallery with warmth and color in any given year. In addition to taking in the show, Quilt Show visitors can also join in special lectures and presentations about quilts, their history, caring and hanging them and much more. Be sure to attend in February and see how this craft has evolved over the years!

Another very popular show at the MonDak is its annual Miniature Art Show. Drawing entries form across the nation and across the world, the show is an amazing display of fine detail on a tiny scale. When viewing the miniature art, the first inclination is to lean in, squint, and look closer. To aid those viewers the museum provides magnifiers to help visitors appreciate the true artistry found in these small gems. See how theses paintings stand up to the closest inspection and you will appreciate the intricacy and exquisite detail of this art form exhibited each winter at MDHC. Miniature art show prospectus

As a community cultural center, the MonDak Heritage Center is always mindful of its debt to the local community and its supporters. At Christmas time, the museum hosts an annual Christmas celebration in early December to thank the community for all its support. The Christmas often has an ethnic theme, featuring Christmas foods, traditions and music from many different countries. A tree decorating contest, bake sale and Dutch auction are also among the many activities scheduled each year. |
